Privacy Policy

MomentumShift ("we", "us") provides a fitness-tracking app and this website. This policy covers both. We've tried to keep it readable — if anything is unclear, email [email protected].

What we collect

• Account information. When you sign up, our identity provider stores your email address and a securely hashed password. We never see your password in plain text.
• The data you log. Meals, workouts, measurements, daily logs, goals and any photos you choose to upload. This is the data that powers your estimate.
• Usage and device data. Basic technical information (app version, device type, crash diagnostics) needed to run and improve the service.
• Beta-access requests. If you ask for access via this site, we store the email address and goal you submit so we can send your invite.

How we use it

• To calculate and update your goal-date estimate.
• To provide, secure and operate your account.
• To send service messages (verification, password reset, beta invites).
• To diagnose problems and improve the product.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use the data you log to target you with third-party advertising.

Who we share it with

We share data only with service providers who help us run MomentumShift — for example hosting, authentication and email delivery — and only as much as they need to perform that service. We may also disclose data if required by law. We don't otherwise share your personal data with third parties.

How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data, except where we're required to retain certain records by law. See Your data for export and deletion.

How we protect it

Data is encrypted in transit. Passwords are handled by our identity provider and never stored by us in plain text. Access to production data is limited to what's needed to operate the service.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. We honour these for all users — see Your data for how to exercise them.

Children

MomentumShift is not directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We'll update this policy as the product evolves and revise the date above when we do. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email.
